The AMG GT Roadster has broken cover ahead of its Paris motor show debut, with Mercedes-Benz detailing two roadster spec options in the form of the GT and the GT C.
Both the AMG GT and GT C will share a twin-turbo V8, with the top-spec model producing 410kW and 680Nm, enough for a 100km/h run in 3.7 seconds, topping out at 316km/h. The lower-spec model reaches 100km/h in 4.0secs with a 302km/h top speed, which by any objective measure is still seriously quick. Both options use the MB seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
Mercedes-Benz is yet to confirm whether the GT C will be offered locally, but expect one or both to arrive mid-2017. The hardtop AMG GT S Coupe begins at $259,000, and you can expect a premium on the GT Roadster, while the GT C will likely land closer to the estimated $400k price of the GT R Coupe.
